The Reality of Reviews--ALL AUTHORS MUST READ THIS! I would like all of you to read this. This is a fanfiction site where people can post their work and/or read and review other people's pieces. If you post your stuff, you are setting it out to be criticized, but can expect it to be done constructively. If people do it correctly, they'll suggest things that will make your story better--this is not called flaming. Flaming, by definition, means that someone calls you names, swears, comments rudely and not constructively, and other similar things. If you do not want to hear honest opinions about your work or don't want to improve your work, this is not the place to post it. Do not complain about people's reviews, unless they are truly flames. We're trying to create a quality archive with intelligent authors that truly care about progressing and improving. Brendan's Edit: We do understand that it can be discouraging to receive a not-so-positive review, however, the hope of our staff, and I would hope of the person who reviewed your story for you is to make you a better writer. Our staff takes a good amount of time to review your work. Often, work posted here will receive at least one review because our staff makes the effort to review actively, so please try to appreciate the time put in by the volunteers who have put this site up. As always, thanks for using Marauders' Map. We are improving rapidly thanks to you, and because we rely so much on our fans, we want you to be pleased with the site.
